Jakarta - Police urged residents Tangerang City not hold convoy at night takbiran later. This is so as not to disturb the order and for the smoothness of traffic.
"We issued an appeal to the public to hold takbiran in mosques only, not to make takbir around," said Metro Tangerang Police Chief, Kombes Harry Kurniawan, on Metro Tangerang Police field, Monday (19/06/2017).
Harry said the appeal will also be delivered in writing to the public. The police will put the appeal in the mosques.
"We will put it later in mosques, this is not a ban but in the form of an appeal to do takbir in the mosque," he continued.
In security ahead of Idul Fitri later, Metro Tangerang Police also conducts Ramadniya operation. Operations involving TNI and local government are focused on handling violence and traffic.
"Relating to the smoothness of traffic, it is emphasized that all personnel can provide services all out.Provide full attention on accident-prone and crash-prone points, especially at the peak of homecoming flow," he concluded.
