SEMARANG - Starting from Sunday, June 18, 2017 at 00.30 WIB, PT Trans Marga Jateng officially opened the Toll Gate (GT) Salatiga which is on the Semarang-Solo section of Bawen-Salatiga section to serve the Lebaran 2017.
The functional toll road connecting Semarang City with the area on the south side of Central Java province will greatly assist road users going to Salatiga, Solo and Yogyakarta.
Ali Zainal Abidin, Technical & Operational Director of PT. TMJ said that the toll road that has a length of up to 17.6 km is already passable by the toll road users from the flow back and forth back to Lebaran 2017.
"Toll Road Work Bawen-Salatiga has been completed on June 15, and temporarily applied to support the smooth flow of back and forth back and forth Lebaran this year" he said through an official statement on Sunday (18/06/2017)
In contrast to other functional lines, Bawen-Salatiga Toll Road can also be traversed by toll road users at night, this is because toll road infrastructure is ready 100% when used travelers.
As a temporary functional route, travelers entering from Bawen and exiting through the Toll Gate (GT) of Salatiga will not be charged the toll tariff until the issuance of the Minister of Public Works and People's Housing Decree which will regulate the tariff of tolls for each class. Unlike travelers who come from Semarang and will be out through GT Salatiga, charged Ungaran-Bawen tariff worth Rp 7,500, -
For the Lebaran homecoming this time Bawen-Salatiga Toll Road can only be passed by vehicle group 1 non bus, considering the exit toll is quite narrow and potentially cause congestion.
To reduce the queue of vehicles, PT TMJ imposed open-close system if the queue of vehicles at Simpang Susun (SS) Salatiga reaches more than 1 Km.
"We have prepared the engineering so that the accumulation of vehicles is not at one point. When the queue at SS Salatiga is more than 1 km then we will remove the vehicle in SS Bawen, and open system is applied for vehicles that want to enter Bawen," ujarnta
In addition, TMJ provides three rest areas (Rest Area) at Km 22 + 200 direction Solo, and Temporary Rest (TIS) at KM 49 + 300 direction Solo and TIS at KM 37 + 600 direction Semarang. The facilities provided in TIS are musholla, toilets, gas stations, and some food and beverage tenants.
